It has been confirmed that Dom's father, the legendary Rey Mysterio, will be in Lee's corner for the highly anticipated clash! Unbelievable!

The rivalry started when Dragon Lee paid a visit to Rey Mysterio during Friday Night SmackDown in Orlando. The two luchadors shared a conversation where Lee wanted to teach Dominik some respect! Surprising everyone, Rey Mysterio supported this idea. But nobody expected that this conversation will lead them to an intense title challenge. 

Dominik Mysterio’s North American title reign was initiated when he successfully defended it in a thrilling triple-threat match against Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali at The Great American Bash. Soon Dragon Lee seized the opportunity and issued a direct challenge for the championship. Dominik also accepted the challenge knowing that he will have legends beside him. The stakes were raised even higher when it was revealed that Rhea Ripley, the WWE Women's World Champion, would be in his corner.

Addressing his son directly, Rey made it clear that he is rooting for Lee to take the title away from Dominik Mysterio!
