BTS's V's solo album Layover inspired by F(x)'s Pink Tape

BTS V could not stop himself from praising the girl group F(x) and Min He Jin. Spontaneously he admits that his solo album "Layover" got the inspiration from "Pink Tape" by F(x). In this video we will learn more about the details of V's statement.

On August 22,2023 BTS V gave an interview to the popular magazine W Korea, on his upcoming album "Layover". During the conversation he revealed the reason behind his collaboration with Min He Jin. He also disclosed how " Pink Tape" played a role of inspiration for his new album. V eagerly wanted to make something different and explore a new pattern for his new album. For him the collaboration with Min He Jin creates a new dimension for his singing career. Without any hesitation he admits that, "I wanted to show a different side of my music compared to my past works and collaborating seemed like the best way to achieve that. F(x)'s Pink Tape was a big inspiration, I reached out to her the moment I recalled it". "Pink Tape" released under the direction of Min Hee Jin in 2013. Undoubtedly it was one of the biggest successful albums of the K-pop industry. The visualization, lyrics, choreography was top notch. The title track "Rum Pum Pum Pum" still has a huge fanbase. V praised Min Hee Jin unconditionally for her genuine enthusiasm, professionalism and her sense of perfection.

Meanwhile, BTS V is already geared up for the release of his album "Layover" this September. It would be his first ever studio album consisting of six songs. On August 22, midnight he released the teaser of his title track Blue. The full album will be released on September 8, 2023.
