Tragic Loss Actress Kang Seo Ha Dies at 31 After Stomach Cancer Battle

Actress Kang Seo Ha, known for her heartfelt performances in K‑dramas such as Heart Surgeons, Schoolgirl Detectives, and In the Net, tragically passed away at the age of 31 following a courageous fight against stage-four stomach cancer .

According to reports, her condition worsened during her second round of chemotherapy, leading to her passing on the afternoon of July 13  Despite her illness, Kang Seo Ha remained dedicated to her profession, completing filming for her last project, the film Mangnaein (or In the Net), which will be released posthumously .

A close friend shared a heartfelt tribute on July 14, remembering Kang Seo Ha as “my angel who never skipped paying for my meals even though she hadn't eaten for months” 

Graduating from the Korea National University of Arts and debuting in a music video in 2012, Kang appeared in numerous dramas—Assembly, Again, My First Love, The Flower in Prison, Heart Surgeons, and more—earning recognition for both leading and supporting roles 

The funeral will be held on July 16, with burial in her family’s plot in Haman, South Gyeongsang Province 

Tributes from fans and co-stars continue to pour in, celebrating her talent, kindness, and the resilience she showed until the end. Her loss leaves a void in the Korean entertainment community.
