Crash Landing on You Season 2 (2025) – Hyun Bin, Son Ye-jin & Kim Soo-hyun Return!

2019, tVn stole the limelight in the Kdrama realm with Crash Landing On You, the cinematography, plotline, and of course, the breathtaking chemistry between Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin to this day has been the center of attention but we are not here for this today! Studio Dragon and tVn came to the conclusion that fans and viewers deserve a second season because honestly, it was because of their unwavering support and love that made Crash Landing On You popular to the point for years new Korean dramas could not dethrone it– until Queen Of Tears stepped in but hey the directors and writers are already working on the plotline and the teaser has been out! 

Lee Jeong Hyo and writer Park Ji Eun finally sat down together to create another masterpiece that will skyrocket the popularity of the second season immensely! You will be baffled to know that Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yun Se Ri's love life and their marriage days will be shown and guess what Seo Dan and Goo Seung Hun will get an alternate ending which they really deserved! Excited, so are we! But before diving into the details let us talk about the first season to understand how it may be linked to the new one! The story revolves around, Yun Se Ri's tired from her heiress life and the bitter relationship with her parents, one day a wild idea pops into her mind and she decides to go for a paragliding ride and things do not go accordingly, the weather turns out bad and just like that she ended up trespassing into the headquarters of North Korea but fate decided to make her stay at the North Korean headquarters interesting because the dashing hunk soldier Ri Jeong Hyeok, who saves her. Though their journey started off rough but as they spent more time together, they couldn’t help but fall in love. While their love story was presented in the most heartwarming way ever, the second lead stole the limelight of the show, with their playful bantering and tragic ending making all of us sad because they really deserved the best! 

Don’t worry because Seaosn 2 has it all, we will get to see Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yun Se Ri getting a beautiful storyline because in season 1 many felt the ending felt rushed or not getting the perfect confession that everyone wanted. Director Lee Jeong Hyo promised that this time, we would get to see their married life and how their parents did not agree with the proposal at first due to political and historical differences, there will be disputes and misunderstandings but what’s a drama without spice right? They will still make everything work out well and will finally tie the knot and once again we will see Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin on the wedding aisle! This will be nostalgic, furthermore, it has been added that there will be more life-threatening situations that may hinder their marriage life, we will also get to see, their future kids! You heard it right, so make sure you are ready for an emotional roller coaster ride. Adding more hype to this is, the second lead couple, Seo Dan portrayed by Seo Ji Hye, and Goo Seung Hun played by Kim Jung Hyun, will get an alternate ending, this time nope, Seung Hun will not be taken away. 

In the alternate ending, Seo Dan becomes much softer and her cold demeanor starts to fade away as Goo Seung with his flirtatious behavior and playful nature, melts her heart. There will be playful back and forth between the couple, Goo Seung will shower her with gifts and flowers just to see that smile on her face. They will get their marriage life ark as well and it will be an emotional one so make sure to prepare your tissue box as it will be sweet! Also, there will be plenty of kissing scenes, very passionate ones that will make all of us feel giddy from the inside. Let’s be real their romance stole the spotlight in the first season, well that is our hot take! 

Industry insiders and other sources dropped some fascinating details that, the filming will be done in numerous locations which will be jaw-dropping, in fact, many may not be aware but it did feel like everything was done in North Korea well not true, most filming took place in different parts of South Korea, it’s just the crew members, actors, and everyone put their heart and soul into the project! Actors had to learn the North Korean dialect to give the perfect outcome! Furthermore, in Season one they went abroad, in Switzerland to film certain scenes. The new season will be located in Greece, Uzbekistan, and other locations which will surprise everyone to the core! Expect to see Hagwon Farm, Jumunjin Beach, and Cheongnaho Lake Park. You can pretty much imagine how breathtaking the end result will be.

It has been also reported that new singers are being hired for the second season, including Mad Clown, DIVICHI, Ailee, Taeyang, APINK Eunji, BLACKPINK Jisoo, and CBX, they have already recorded the soundtracks the editing is still in process. The OSTS will be breathtaking, as they will be played during the main and second leads, wedding day, with their friends and family members beside them, and the moment overall will be heart-fluttering, we can already imagine how amazing it will be! Additionally, it has been added that since the second season will be more personal and focus on their love stories and the challenges of marriage life, it will be 12 episodes and will be aired on Netflix, tVn, and other platforms.

How can we forget about the cast members. There will be recurring cast members otherwise the essence of the drama will be completely lost, and no one would risk that! New leads are in the talk, including, Byeon Woo Seok, Park Bo Gum, Park Sung Hoon, and others are in talks of taking some lethal roles or may just do a special appearance which will for sure enhance the drama’s performance with their breathtaking performance and stellar acting skills!

The popularity of the series skyrocketed to the point there was a Japanese remake as well! While these were the goodside of the drama however there were downsides of the series as well, such as writer Park Ji Eun was accused of Plagiarism. It was pointed out the glorification of the North Korean military and the portrayal of it in a romantic manner. Aside from all these, the drama has surely given us the best butterflies ever!
