The Mantis: Original Sin (사마귀) is an upcoming South Korean mystery-thriller television series set to premiere on SBS TV on September 5, 2025. Directed by Byun Young-joo and written by Lee Young-jong, the series is a Korean adaptation of the 2017 French drama La Mante. The show stars Go Hyun-jung as Jung Yi-shin, a notorious serial killer imprisoned years ago, and Jang Dong-yoon as Cha Soo-yeol, her estranged son and a dedicated detective.

The plot unfolds as a series of murders mimicking Jung Yi-shin's past crimes emerge, forcing Cha Soo-yeol to confront his mother and delve into a complex investigation that blurs the lines between justice and familial bonds.
