Plastic surgery is common in the entertainment industry, particularly in China where many openly admitted to having gone under the knife just to get that perfect look. Now some of your favorite actresses including Zhao Lusi and others unfortunately because of the pressure of the industry and unbelievable beauty standards ended up getting some work done on their faces.

Yang Zi

Yang Zi is a stellar actress who has been known for her hit works including, Ashes Of Love, The Oath Of Love, and others. Unfortunately, a beautiful actress like herself even ended up having plastic surgery, which many fans and netizens noticed especially while comparing her before and after pictures, many noticed the change. In the past, Yang Zi appeared more innocent and cute, with a more chubbier and rounded face. However, after she entered the industry and started to appear in more roles in plenty of famous series, everyone started to notice the innocent charm was fading away and there were some major changes like her jawline shrinking and appearing sharper, and from 2015 onwards her nose sidewalls appeared contoured and small. During an interview segment, Yang Zi was asked about the secret behind her refined looks over the years, to which she tried to laugh it off, but indirectly hinted at the idea that the more time you spend in the industry you are bound to do some changes, which most likely explains everything. Zhao Lusi, even though she recently went through some tragic incidents surrounding her management company and her battle with depression, aphasia, and anxiety to the point her health declined and she was in a wheelchair. Later, the case got complicated but somewhat resolved, all thanks to her friend Nanxi and her family’s support she is doing well, also taking enough rest to fully recover from the damage that has been inflicted upon her. Now, when it comes to Lusi’s facial features there has been plenty of controversy. When everyone pointed out the massive difference between her debut days and to present times, everyone noticed that her lips appear fuller and her nose bridge is much more pointed, because in the past she looked much more chubby and innocent, compared to now, her looks seem bolder and pretty much perfect from every angle as if the flaws never existed in the first place. Also, many pointed out that she most likely got double eyelid surgery too. When confronted about the matter, Zhao Lusi, including her agency strongly denied the allegations and stated that the changes were because of the weight loss she had gone through and that Lusi never did any sort of procedures on her face. Well, there are still mixed reviews regarding her facial changes but either way– Lusi is quite open about the fact one can change certain features as long as it helps one to stay confident! Xiaotong is known for her roles in, Love O2O, The Ingenious One, and others, she has mostly played supporting roles but those were important ones! Now, Mao’s transformation has been shocking to the core, because when netizens found her old pictures everyone was in denial. Her face went through everything, starting from eyes, nose, and lips but the most prominent changes were of course her face shape and jawline. Her face was rounder and now it is more elongated and pointy. This level of transformation made many raise their eyebrows because it is baffling. Mao Xiatong however, remained vague about this subject. While most netizens tried to defend her by stating that those pictures were of when Mao was young and had baby fat which is why during her adulthood years, Xiaotong looked mature and a little different. On the flip side, others presented their views that a simple fat loss is not equivalent to this much drastic changes in shapes and overall view of the face. Her last drama was in 2024, in Joy Of Life S2, and now she is occupied with several other upcoming projects where Mao will be taking the lead role. The beautiful actress Zhang Meng’s visuals are stunning no doubt, however, she has been criticized plenty of times because of her looks. Now many sources claim that Zhang Meng has had double eyelid surgery. During the variety show, I Am An Actor, Zhang Meng revealed that, while filming for the 2012 drama, The Demi-Gods, and Semi-Evils, she was cyberbullied to the point, Zhang Meng ended up believing that she was ugly, also her then partner back then said the same thing which shattered her confidence level to the core and just to get some love from everyone, Meng took the big step and decided to get plastic surgery– which she regrets doing from the bottom of her heart. Then fast forward, Zhang Meng wrote a long post on Weibo, explaining to everyone not to go for plastic surgery and how it ruins a person completely because it is a never-ending loop. One should love themselves for who they are, because even after getting her face done, whenever she looked at herself in the mirror, the damage done is irreversible because– she still felt ugly from inside and lastly she apologized for hurting anyone during her youth years. Truly Zhang Meng is one of the cases where it shows that beauty isn’t everything always because the standards and demands are never-ending. We just hope she is doing well now, and Meng will be taking part in the upcoming project, My Destiny’s Child.

Ju Jing Yi

The gorgeous singer and dancer Ju Jing Yi is known for her iconic performances in dramas such as The Story of Yunxi and In Blossom. Her case is quite interesting and also a rollercoaster ride. She is often called, China’s greatest beauty in 4,000 years but is it really the case? Because many speculations and allegations from the past reveal that she had her nose and eyes done. Now latest news says something otherwise because rumors are surfacing that she altered the shape of her shoulders as well! A netizen on Weibo pointed out and compared her recent pictures of Jingyi’s right-angled shoulders and older pictures they look extremely sharp and refined now. However, when this news was reached to her agency they strictly denied the allegations and warned everyone to stop spreading misleading information. Many fans and netizens also defended her and did not give in to the malicious remarks. However, the majority still believe the idea that she most probably did something, otherwise having such stellar genes is unnatural. Ju Jing Yi will be appearing in new upcoming projects where she will take lead roles, so get ready for that. Recently she sparked some rumors regarding her face changes, fans and netizens claimed that her jaw appeared to dissolve after comparing a video of her current and past looks went viral. Wu Xuanyi denied those rumors and pointed out the fact that she has gained weight which is why there are differences. However, some people are hellbent and keep on pointing out facts like how her face looks more swollen, and her chin appears sharper than before. Even her teeth many believe after getting her teeth straightened her facial structures seemed to alter. While these remain a mystery, Xuanyi and her agency already denied the allegations.
