The Uso brother’s and The Tribal Chief have finally
turned their faces away from each other on this Night of Champions of Smackdown
in Saudi Arabia. This event is one of the most anticipated matches of WWE that
has gained lots of fans attention in 2023. And the undisputed champion Roman
Reigns has been the biggest star of the event. Nobody would have imagined that
the Tribal Chief would be knocked off by his own brothers! But the drama really
took place this week when Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn teamed up against Roman
Reigns and another cousin, Solo Sikoa. Things are pretty rumbled up in
Smackdown right now as more drama is waiting for us from this family.
This highly anticipated Tag Team Championship match
took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking Zayn's first visit to the country
since 2014. Zayn was warmly welcomed by the crowd, who showed their support and
enthusiasm for his return. As the match commenced, Reigns and Zayn started the
action in the ring. The fans rallied behind Zayn, cheering his name and
passionately chanting "Ole!".
But Roman Reigns claimed that the audience wouldn't even know who Zayn
was if it weren't for him. In this show of dominance, Reigns tagged in Sikoa
and vocally expressed his regret for allowing Zayn, referred to as
"Honorary Uce," to be associated with The Bloodline!
At first Sikoa's overwhelming strength proved too much
for Zayn which is why Owens had to step up in the scene. Owens fearlessly
engaged in this battle with Sikoa, and compensated for his lack of power with
his ruggedness and determination. After this grueling encounter, Zayn made his
way back into the ring, but faced another onslaught from Reigns and Sikoa. This
time, Owens managed to get the much-anticipated hot tag, unleashing a flurry of
fists, boots, and his entire body on the undisputed WWE universal champion
Reigns. He did a pop-up powerbomb and a spectacular frog splash which almost
secured his pinfall victory over Reigns. Yet, "The Tribal Chief"
responded with a devastating Superman punch, aided by a distraction from Sikoa.
Despite the subsequent pin attempt, Owens displayed resilience by kicking out.
Then, Owens momentarily disoriented Reigns with a
stunner, leaving the crowd on the edge of their seats. However, Reigns
rebounded off the ropes and executed a lightning-fast spear that turned Owens
inside out, leaving the audience in awe of the champion's power and
athleticism. But it was until the Uso brothers came.
Before Jimmy and Jey Uso entered the scene, Zayn
launched himself from the top rope, diving onto his larger opponent outside the
ring. He followed up with a powerful blue thunder bomb that left Sikoa reeling.
Then he evaded a Samoan Spike that executed an explosive exploder suplex and
then delivered a punishing Helluva Kick to Sikoa. The two were really powerful
in the match and maybe without Roman Reigns, they could win it even without the
intervention of Usos. A heated brawl had ensued between Zayn and Reigns, which
resulted in an accidental collision between Reigns and the referee! Audience was
already hooked to the screen and the ring thinking what just happened. Reigns
was furious and reckless for sure as Owens took advantage of this chaos. Owens
finely took this opportunity to venture outside the ring and utilize the
announcers' tables as his weapon of choice. He laid Reigns across one of the
tables, setting the stage for a potentially destructive turn of events.
The ring still was not chaotic enough until The Usos
suddenly emerged. It seemed like they came to rescue Reigns from Owen in the
first place. But, Roman Reigns was not ready for it. He warned the brothers to
stay out of this event before but apparently they did not pay attention. The
rivalry began when the Usos executed a superkick to Zayn, but unfortunately,
their attempt at a double kick went inadvertently striked Sikoa instead! This
accidental hit triggered Roman Reigns' anger, and led him to forcefully push
his cousins, Jey and Jimmy Uso, in frustration.
After that, Jimmy Uso came to his breaking point and
delivered a powerful superkick to Reigns. This unexpected act demonstrated a
significant shift in Jimmy Uso's demeanor and loyalty that hit Roman Reigns
harder than we can imagine. This whole time, Jey Uso tried his best to calm his
brother down and reason with him which went in vain. Jimmy still went on to
knock Reigns down with another forceful kick which made this situation overly
dramatic and beyond fans' imagination.
After this turn of events, The Usos left the ring and
made space for Owens and Zayn to capitalize. Of course Owens took this chance
to show their best moves. Seizing the moment, Owens and Zayn combined their
signature moves where Owens delivered a stunner and Zayn followed up with a
Helluva Kick. Leaving everyone shocked at the moment, Zayn and Owens really
ended this match securing their victory.
Just before The Tribal Chief’s 1000-day title
celebration, this betrayal from his own cousins was the least expected by
Reigns. On the same day, Roman Reigns achieved a significant milestone by
completing 1000 days as The Universal Champion. Initially, it was announced
that Reigns would be commemorating this achievement on the upcoming episode of
SmackDown. However, due to Jimmy Uso's attack on Reigns, it appears that the
focus has shifted from celebration to seeking revenge! Rather than embracing
the milestone, Reigns is likely to be driven by a desire to settle the score
with Jimmy Uso for his actions.
Now another exciting news is floating in the world of
WWE. The Usos and The Tribal Chief may face each other at the upcoming Money in
the Bank premium live event! Their previous match in the Night of Champions was
a sheer humiliation for the undisputed champion. For the first time in a
premium live event, he suffered a defeat, that too led by his bloodline. There is
a possibility that The Tribal Chief may choose to abstain from appearing on
SmackDown next week, where he was scheduled to celebrate his remarkable
achievement of 1,000 days as the Universal Champion. It's also possible that
Reigns would ask for a public apology from the Usos before appearing in the
ring.
If this recent bloodline rivalry continues in their next matches, as in, the upcoming Money in the Bank event, Roman Reigns will leave no stone unturned to teach The Usos a lesson. Now that Solo Sika is also with him, their match will be exciting enough to feed their fans for the next matches. Nobody knows when their face-offs will be on-air, and nobody knows which side Jey Uso will take in this rivalry as he did not seem to be against the current leader of their family. But it is speculated that Jey Uso will likely align himself with his twin brother, while Solo Sikoa may potentially align with the reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. Now let’s see, what happens in the upcoming WWE events!
