How long has it been since we saw Gyun Jun Pyo and Geum Jan Di, 15 long years! The Hallyu icon Lee Min Ho's iconic drama of all time, Boys Over Flowers has been a fan favorite for every Kdrama lover. The drama that cemented the Kdrama industry has been cherished to the core and we have some fantastic news that KBS recently dropped the fantastic news that they are in talks of Boys Over Flowers Season 2! So fans, your 15 years of waiting is finally becoming a reality. 

Now director, Jeon Ki Sang and writer Yoon Ji Ryun recently met together after ages, and while conversing the great idea came in why not make a season 2 of Boys Over Flowers which has been a global sensation. To this day when the subject of Kdrama arises, Boys Over Flowers is always the first name that pops up in everyone’s mind. So you can’t really call yourself a true Kdrama freak if you haven’t watched the series. Now the production company and others have stepped in to make another revolutionary change in the Kdrama realm once again! Korean media outlets reported that the second season will air by mid of 2025 and it will be available on Netflix and other platforms.

Starring Goo Hye Sun, Lee Min Ho, and Kim Hyun Joong, the drama centers around the prestigious Shinhwa High School, where the notorious F4 group rules the school. One day, our poor Geum Jan Di after working hard for years finally got a scholarship and embarked on the journey to the Shinhwa High School, while her dreams started to become a reality some anomalies were unpredictable. One day she saw the F4 group bullying students, like a righteous person she stood up against Gyun Jun Pyo, the leader of the group. From that point onwards she became the test subject of the F4 group bullying. She was helpless just for her family’s sake. She kept her mouth shut and tried to fix things with the F4 group but little did she know that Gyun Jun Pyo and Yoon Ji Hoo, the second lead of the drama couldn’t help but fall in love with her. The fiery love triangle was epic in the series making the hearts of the fans skip a beat. While the majority wanted Jan Di to choose Ji Hoon, in the end, Gyu Jun Pyo was successful in terms of claiming Jan Di in every single way possible. 

The drama became a global success to the point that it has several remakes in Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Taiwanese! It also has a Korean Sequel, Boys Over Flowers F4 After Story, and a compilation show, F4 Talk Special Show. 

For season 2 expect the unexpected! The second season will be filled with more twists and turns. We will see a time jump and how all the F4 members are finally married to their significant others. Industry insiders and big Korean Media Outlets are buzzing with the fantastic details that Boys Over Flowers Season 2’s cinematography will be jaw-dropping because in 2009 the exploration and the budget were limited and no one really thought that the drama would be such a hit project! Season 2 will be filmed in Quebec and Germany.
