Today we got 1 good news and 1 bad news for wrestling fans. Starting from the bad news, WWE star Roman Reigns appears to have suffered an injury during the latest SummerSlam event which may become a setback for his future matches! On the other hand, “The Viper” Randy Orton is going through a successful recovery and soon may come back into the ring!

The reigning WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns showed his caliber by defending his Tribal Chief title well in the SummerSlam event. The match met with many surprising moments like Jimmy betraying his own brother Jey Uso. But apart from this drama, there was a serious incident that we all failed to notice! A video emerged on social media that captured a crucial moment of Reigns being injured during his championship defense against Jey Uso. In the video, after Jey delivered his Suicide Dive attack on Reigns through the ropes, it really hurt him. The pain in his face is very visible in the video! Despite getting injured, Roman Reigns has been undefeated in that match.

Meanwhile, the Viper, Randy Orton has been conspicuously absent from WWE for over a year now. Since undergoing back fusion surgery in May 2022, the 43-year-old superstar had to be on the sidelines. But recent reports give us a ray of hope! Reports suggest that the road to recovery for Orton has been far from smooth. In fact, rumors say WWE is planning to bring the RKO King in the next Payback 2023!

The wrestler has not yet received medical clearance for in-ring training or action. His doctors also said that wrestling might not be the best choice for him right now due to his lower back fusion. But Orton’s passion for the game is definitely paying him back with a steadfast recovery. It's revealed that he has resumed lifting and is in exceptional physical shape. Although it is uncertain when he will return to WWE, his continuous recovery gives us hope that the day is not far away!

The last match that Randy Orton wrestled was on May 20, 2022. He was playing high as part of RK-Bro before this injury. Randy Orton along with Matt Riddle won the RAW Tag Team Championship and was in a fight with The Usos. In that Championship Unification match of SmackDown, Both Roman Reigns and The Usos snatched Randy Orton’s title and sent him out of the ring for 15 long months now. 

The irony is, the Bloodline members who once fought in unity and injured Randy Orton are now seeking revenge on each other. Interestingly, the Bloodline war is on and Jimmy Uso is out from the Bloodline and WWE. Roman Reigns is injured by the Usos member as well! At the same time, when the future of the Bloodline members is hanging in uncertainty, Randy Orton is recovering fast to make his comeback in the company.
