The most anticipated match at the WWE SummerSlam 2023 was undoubtedly the face-off between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. But the night didn’t fail to shock its audience for even a minute! Shocking everyone, Jimmy Uso made a surprising return in the main event of SummerSlam and turned his back on his twin brother Jey Uso! The betrayal left fans flabbergasted and added another twist to the ongoing family turmoil in The Bloodline saga.
The Tribal Combat was about to take place between Jey Uso and the current Tribal Chief, WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. It was a match where anything was allowed. The match started with Jey Uso who really fought hard against his cousin Roman Reigns but kept getting interfered with by other players.
When he nearly pulled Reigns down, the unexpected return of Jimmy Uso under a hoodie changed everything. Jimmy was absent from wrestling due to injury and nobody expected him to show up in this big event. But things got more dramatic when Jimmy attacked his own brother! He pulled him out of the ring just as he seemed to have Roman Reigns down for the count. This shocking betrayal left Jey vulnerable for the moment. Of course, Roman Reigns took advantage of the situation to deliver the final blow and retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Title.
Fans are puzzled by Jimmy's actions, as just a few months earlier, The Bloodline had attacked him and sent him to the hospital. The current Bloodline war stood because of him and Jey was taking revenge on Reigns on behalf of The Usos. Given the long-standing rivalry between Roman Reigns and the Uso twins, Jimmy's decision to side with Reigns seemed illogical to the fans.
This complex family drama between Roman Reigns and The Bloodline has been a central theme in WWE storylines. Their bitter rivalry has played out over the years and created iconic moments like the I Quit Hell in a Cell match during the pandemic. The ongoing rivalry between The Usos and the Tribal Chief following WrestleMania 39 added more spice to this saga, leading to his first pinfall loss since 2019 at last month's Money in the Bank event.
The main event at SummerSlam also saw the brutal side of Solo Sikoa, the enforcer of The Bloodline. He did his best to take control of the match, but the surprising entry of Jimmy completely changed the match’s result. Fans thought he would definitely take Jey’s side in the match, but Jimmy had more twists under his sleeve. His unexpected return has ignited more fire into this Bloodline war now. Experts are predicting, there will be more blood in the upcoming event of WrestleMania 40 after this SummerSlam.
Along with that, fans are now waiting for the SmackDown of this Friday to get a logical answer from these enraged cousins. Their rivalry has gone totally unpredictable now and anything can happen when any of those tribes are there. But anyhow, Roman Reigns has made history again by defending his title by any means. Let’s see who attacks him next to snatch this title away in the next match.
