It seems like Seungkwan is recovering from his illness. 

Last July 2023, Seventeen's Seungkwan announced that he's going to take a break from all of his work and commitments. After the sudden death of his dearest friend MoonBin of ASTRO Seungkwan became mentally disturbed. Due to several illnesses Seungkwan had to consult a doctor and the doctor suggested that he take rest for a few months. 

For this break he didn’t participate in the Mnet M countdown Pre Recording. The fans became concerned for his health for these months. And it seems that he is healing from his loneliness and taking out some time for himself.

On August 16, Seungkwan posted some pictures of his adventures to connect with the fans and let them know that he is Alright. He got some opportunity to travel in the hills and mountains which is peaceful for him. With the photos he shared a long message where he shared what he is feeling right now. Here's the message for you-

How are you doing Carats? It’s been a while

There are so many things I want to say, but first of all I’ve missed you so much..!

You were also probably curious how I’ve been doing right?

I’ve been resting and recovering well

It feels like I’ve experienced true rest for the first time

Of course there were times when I went on vacation/break for a few days

But this is the first time in my life I’ve taken a break completely for myself, completely thinking of myself in order to recharge

Of course it wasn’t easy at first, taking a break

The members have been filling my spot, and I was worried. But I didn’t want to burden them with such worries

And I was so grateful for Carats, who’ve been waiting for me so supportively. I felt terrible [about making you wait], since that’s just my personality

But thanks to your support

I’m really getting so much better

I feel like it won’t be too long before I can come back to you all

I meant to leave just a short message with some photos, but I couldn’t help myself once I started writing, haha

Anyway, I’m going to leave it here for today
