There's shocking news for the fans of BLACKPINK Jennie! The HBO series "The Idol" featuring BLACKPINK Jennie already had a lot of controversy over the star cast and plot. Now it has been canceled officially.

BLACKPINK Jennie almost got ready for her acting debut in HBO's "The Idol". Though there was a huge anticipation whether the program will take off or not. But without any previous notice the show has been canceled.

On August 29, many American media outlets reported that HBO decided not to proceed with the second season of " The Idol". According to the reports, HBO stated that "The Idol has been one of HBO’s most provocative original programs, and we are pleased with the enthusiastic response from our viewers. However, after extensive deliberation, we, along with the producers, have decided not to proceed with a second season. We extend our gratitude to the producers, cast, and crew for delivering such a fantastic show"

The series started on June 4,2023 and it's almost at the edge of its climax. Breaking all the excitement of the audience the makers gave this announcement. Thus, we hope that Jennie will get more chances to debut herself in acting.
