There’s no debate on the fact that BTS is a global name and they have a huge fandom around the world. The fans of BTS are widely known as "ARMY". BTS is the most popular South Korean boy band that debuted in 2010. The band consists of seven amazing members : Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. In this 13 years they have touched the highest peak of success and fandom. The group announced their official fandom name in 2013. Since then they have given many fandom names but lastly the name "ARMY" stayed.

Jimin mentioned in the Army corner store video that one of the contenders for BTS's fandom name was Cherry. RM added that the final name was Army and Bell. There was huge discussion over the name but the final name was Army because it was very meaningful by itself. The word Army can be "Bulletproof Boy Scouts' ' that is the meaning of BTS. On the other hand Army is also the acronym for adorable representation of MC for youth which reflects the heart of Music.

But the original meaning of the word ARMY was disclosed by the leader RM a few years back.
