After completing ten years with SM Entertainment the Red Velvet girls are thinking of alternative options.

Red Velvet is one of the famous girl groups formed by SM Entertainment. They celebrated their 9th anniversary this August. According to the standard policy of K-pop Industry any group can stay under the agency for at most 7 years. These seven years set a benchmark where these years were considered to be seven years of curse.

Though Red Velvet never officially announced the contract renewal, Red Velvet is still active after their 7th year. SM Entertainment has approved a 10th year of contract renewal but no one can tell the future. The group members are already searching for their alternative options.

Though Seulgi has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment, she's the first member who renewed the contract. Right now, there's a huge buzz that Irene is thinking of renewing her contract but not with SM Entertainment. Her decision makes the fans worried as she's the core of this group. If she leaves the group then the group will be shattered.
