Upcoming Korean Dramas In May 2021

If you are wondering what you are going to watch next, do not worry at all. Today we will talk about such dramas which are going to release soon in the month of May, 2021! So, start noting down the names and don’t miss these amazing dramas…

1.Bossam- Stealing Fate: 1st May:

After “Sweet Munchies”, Jung Il Woo is coming with a brand new drama “Bossam-Stealing Fate” which is set to air on TV in 1st May. He will be seen with the “Sound of Your Heart” actress Kwon Yu Ri in the drama. The drama will tell the story of a person who accidentally kidnaps a princess. Ba Woo (Jung Il Woo) who engages in the practice of connecting widows, who had no hopes of getting remarried. The drama will revolve around Ba Woo and princess Soo Kyung (Kwon Yu Ri). It will be a story of life and love that touches upon the oppression experienced by women and the underprivileged. 

2.Youth of May: 3rd May:

Lee Do-Hyun and Go Min-Si previously appeared together in Netflix series “Sweet Home”. This year they are going to appear again on-screen with their drama “Youth of May” on May 3rd. Set in the year of 1980, the story will revolve around the turbulent times of the Gwangju Uprising. Hee-Tae (Lee Do-Hyun) and Myung-Hee (Go Min-Si) fall in love in the month of May. Their love seems destined by fate when so many things keep happening with them.

3.Doom at Your Service: 10th May:

Some of you already saw its poster and much excited to see two cute and talented actors coming together I one drama. Seo In Guk and Park Bo Young is coming on-screen for the first time for this drama “Doom at Your Service”. In the drama Tak Dong (Park Bo Young) gets diagnosed with a brain cancer. She blames her unlucky life and wishes to curse everything to disappear, which unintentionally calls Myeol Mang (Seo In Guk), a messenger between humans and gods, to appear. He says that he can grant her wishes. As her last hope, she makes a contract with Myeol Mang for a hundred days to live how she wants, risking her everything.

4.Imitation: 7th May:

This drama is based on a webcomic “Imitation” by Park Kyung-Ran. The story revolves around a bunch of youth who are a rising K-pop idol groups. The drama will bring together many talented casts such as Jung Ji-So, Lee Jun-Young, Yun Ho, Lim Na Young, Minseo, Yu Ri and so on.

5.Voice-4: 15th May:

Song Seong Heon and Lee Na Ra is costarring together to the 4th sequel of the famous crime series “Voice”. In this drama A serial killer with an enhanced hearing ability appears.Because of this, Kang Kwon-Joo (Lee Ha-Na), who also has an enhanced hearing ability, is driven into a corner. Kang Kwon-Joo cooperates with Detective Derek Jo (Song Seung-Heon) to catch the serial killer.

6.Racquet Boys: 17th May:

Racquet Boys is going to be a Sports drama series which is set to air on screen in 17th May. The drama is directed by Jo Yeong Gwang which stars Kim Sang Kyung, Oh Na-ra and Park Hyo Joo. The series follows the growth of sixteen boys and girls and the challenges faced by badminton club of their school.

7.Fly High Butterfly: 24th May:

Choi Daniel from “High Kick-2” and Kim Hyang Gi from “Sweet Revenge”. Both actors going to star together in May 24th drama “Fly High Butterfly”. This television series is directed by Kim Bo Kyung and Kim Da Ye. Starring Kim Hyang Gi, Oh Yoon Ah, Choi Daniel and Shim Eun Woo. The series follows the story of hair stylists at ‘Fly on Butterfly’ hair salon.

8.Hospital Playlist-2:  May:

One of the most anticipated K-drama sequels, “Hospital Playlist-2” is all set to air this year in May. It will again bring together some brilliant actors in a set of hospital where life will revolve around that hospital, hardships, love, friendship and their most important escape ‘Music’. It stars Jo Jung Suk, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jung Kyung Ho, Kim Dae Myung and Jeon Mi Do.

9.My Roommate is Gumiho: May:

It is an upcoming South Korean television drama series starring Jang Ki Yong and Lee Hye Ri. The series tells story of romance between a 999-year-old nine-tailed fox and a female college student Lee Dam (Hye Ri) who accidentally swallows Shin Woo Yeo’s (Jang Ki Yong) bead. The drama is going to air within this May.

10.Dear M:

“Dear M” is college romance television series starring Park Hye Su, Jeong Jae Hyun, Roh Jeong Eui and Bae Hyun Sung. It is the spin-off of the web series Love Playlist. This drama was about to air earlier this year, but due to some reason, it is anticipated that the drama may appear now in May.
